Templates are to makes things more simple, not only because...

Until I find them useful in a number of pages, I can use the interwikilinks: [[n:, [[b: etc:

It too complex for me now. Simple links ([[n:) aren't useful on pages.

The interwiki (n:, b:, v: etc) is standard on (almost) every wiki. The templates can be defined and used in different ways on every wiki.
